This summer, Giapo held its very first Photography contest!

The brief was as follows:

You needed to shoot a picture of a child smiling in some sort of scene or situation. It can’t be just a face shot of a child smiling, it has to be in a scene or situation, then you send it through to Giapo.

Rebecca Leys posted one of the most popular photo’s of the competition with the picture below taken from a shoot at Mount Maunganui reflecting the magnificent way she interacts with children.

In order to capture relaxed and spontaneous images, our children’s portrait sessions usually take place at a location that the children enjoy. Favourite spots include beaches and parks, but your children may have a quite different ‘special place’. As always, we individualise our portrait sessions to suit you and your lives. We believe that it’s the best way to capture stunning portraits of you and your children as you truly are.

For teenagers, the key to creating natural and unique portraits is to capture them in a way that reflects their interests and individuality.
